Box Score Aliso Viejo, CA — The Occidental men's soccer team took home a 1 - 0 win over Soka on Wednesday evening.
Both teams were well matched throughout the game, but the Tigers were able to get a goal in the 65th minute to clench the win. Sophomore Lukas Howlett, assisted by junior Justin Kent, shot the ball into the back post from within the 18-yard box.
'I'm proud of the effort that the players put forth in the game tonight, which mirrors their attitude and effort that they've given thus far in our preseason preparations," said head coach Rod Lafaurie. "It's just a start, but a good one, and we are looking forward to improving every day."
