Los Angeles, CA —  The Occidental men's soccer team played host to Redlands on Wednesday for their third conference competition, but lost in the final moments, 2-1.

Although the Tigers maintained control of the ball for much of the game, Redlands got an early lead.  Bulldog's Quinn Richards, assisted by Chad Feingold, had a quick run down the field and got the first goal in the ninth minute.  Oxy continued to try to even up the score, but at the half they were still down 1-0.  Oxy put up 17 shots on goal, to Redlands 15, during the game, but it wasn't until the last fifteen minutes when the Tigers were finally rewarded for their efforts.  Kai Fiedelhotz rejuvenated the Tigers with his goal that got past Redlands' Aidan McSweeny.  Everything seemed to be heading in the right direction for Oxy until the Bulldogs snuck another goal in the last four minutes, shot by Jonathan Cheung.

Oxy goalkeeper Scott Drazan had some exceptional saves that night.  The Redlands offense regularly brought the ball within the box, sometimes within 10 feet of Drazan, on their breakaways.  For the night, Drazan had a total of nine saves.

Next Game: The men head to CMS on Saturday, September 25 for a 7 p.m. game.
