Box Score Claremont, CA — The Occidental men's soccer team was bested by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Saturday night, ending with a score 3-1.
Oxy got an early lead when junior Joey Schwartz scored a goal in the eleventh minute of the game and maintained it for the majority of the first half. Right before halftime, CMS' Samay Rahim, assisted by Bryan Uribe, tied it up, one all. In the second half, CMS advanced, scoring two more goals. The second CMS goal was scored by Walsh Kern and the third CMS goal was kicked in by Eric Sanchez, but was deflected off an Oxy play to score in their own goal. Certainly a rough way to end the night, but the Tigers will look to turn things around at their next game.
Next game: The Tigers head to Caltech on Wednesday, September 29 for a 4:00 p.m. game.
