Los Angeles, CA – The Occidental women's soccer team played their last home game of the season against the Chapman University Panthers. Both the Tigers and the Panthers played extremely hard the entire game. The Tigers were able to move the ball around the Panthers and earned 10 shots overall. Unfortunately, the Tigers were unable to land one in the back of the net. The Panthers got the only goal of the game 5 minutes into the second half, ending the game with 0-1, Panthers.
Olivia Haga had an outstanding game. Haga went up strong against the Panther defense and was able to get 3 shots at the goal. Alongside her, Clare Madden remains to be a force on the defense and offense. Madden's aggressiveness earned her 3 shots. Haga and Madden lead the Tigers with the most shots. Maggie Baird held the fort down in the back with an amazing 4 saves.
Chapman put up a good fight against the Tigers. They were aggressive and were able to create many opportunities for themselves. The goal scorer for the Panthers was Jenna Urrabazo.
The Tigers play their last game of the season against the CMS Athenas at Claremont on Saturday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m.
