Los Angeles, CA – The Occidental women's soccer team played their last game of the season against CMS. It was a very tight game with both teams playing equally well. Going into the second half, the game was scoreless, but that would soon change at the 48th minute. CMS was able to land a goal off of a free kick. Unfortunately, the Tigers were unable to recover, and the game ended 1-0, Athenas.
The Tiger defense always does a great job with protecting their net. They're aggressive, strong, and also great attackers. On the offensive side, Gigi Yamamoto, Clare Madden, and Olivia Haga were the ones to test the CMS keeper. The Tigers truly left it out on the field for their final match.
The Athenas goal was scored by Riley Zitar and assisted by Natalie Phillips. CMS challenged the Tigers with their skill and pressure. They came out of the first half hungry for a goal, and they succeeded.
Unfortunately, this concludes the Tigers' fall season. Each Tiger that stepped on the field this season represented their school well. While this may not have been the desired outcome, the Tigers should still be proud of their efforts this season and be excited for the next!
