Los Angeles – Occidental women's lax end their trip to Oregon by snatching a win from Linfield. After being down in the first period, the Tigers came back stronger and harder to lead in the second and third period. Clearly the loss against George Fox helped the Tigers improve their game for this match. The Tigers worked extremely well together and helped each other succeed. This is evident in this game's stats.
For the game, seniors Annie Dolan (9G, 7 DC) and Bella Litt (4G, 4A, 4CT) lead the team to the win. Annie Dolan had another outstanding performance which allowed her to lead the Tigers again with 9 goals. She tested and put constant pressure on the Wildcats' goalie with her 13 shots on goal. Bella Kwan and Bella Litt followed Dolan's lead with four goals each. Litt and Dolan look like the dynamic duo due to Litt's 4 assists to four of Dolan's goals.
The Tigers played hard from the start, but came out of halftime with a lot of energy to go on 4-0 run in the first few minutes of the 3rd quarter. The second half was a full team effort with defense holding their attack to only 5 goals. Overall, the Tigers could not have ended their trip a better way. With more lessons learned and improved team chemistry, the Tigers have a bright season ahead of them.
