Los Angeles, CA – After four tough periods against the Bulldogs, the Occidental women's lacrosse team entered a period of overtime. The Tigers had battled their way in the second and third periods to tie the Bulldogs going into the fourth. At the final buzzer, the score was tied at 13-13. Unfortunately, two minutes into the overtime, Redlands' Celine Flaig's goal ends the game 14-13, Redlands.
Regardless of the score, the Tigers battled until it was over. Their grit and ability to come back after being down six goals in the first period is extremely impressive. Emma Cho had the honor of leading the Tigers with three shots on goal and making all three of them. Sydney Louie's aggression and speed gave her an advantage to win five ground balls for the Tigers. Goalie Andie Angelacci was able to take away eight goals from the Bulldogs, helping the victory remain in sight.
Redlands is always a tough competitor and this match was no different. The overtime goal scorer, Celine Flaig, also led her team to victory by scoring five goals for the Bulldogs.
