Box Score Los Angeles, CA– In their first of two Oregon matches, the Occidental women's lacrosse team played George Fox. The cold weather was something that the Tigers weren't used to playing in. Regardless, the Tigers fought against the cold and the Bruins with all they had and represented Oxy well. After falling behind the Bruins in the first three periods, the Tigers managed to score 7 goals ending the game 12-16, Bruins.
The Tigers were led by Annie Dolan who spent another match leading her team with 4 goals. First year, Ella Acker, stepped up to the pitch and followed Dolan with 3 goals for Oxy and an assist. Bella Litt was another outstanding player leading with 10 of the 33 ground balls won for the Tigers. Additionally, the Tigers led with 33 shots, 33 ground balls, and forced 33 turnovers from George Fox.
The Bruins were great competitors to help the Tigers gain new experiences playing in different weather and against a team from a different conference. Many lessons were learned to better prepare the Tigers for the rest of their season. Goalie, Ella Rand, had an impressive 13 saves, helping the Bruins keep Oxy at bay.
