Los Angeles, CA — The Tigers second game of the week was against the McKendree Bearcats. In an exciting first quarter against the Bearcats, the Tigers held their ground with Jillian Miller (Irvine, CA) scoring within the first two minutes. A few possessions later, Kayla Lin (Palo Alto, CA) finds the back of the net. The Tigers kept up their defense throughout the second quarter and towards the end, Olivia Montgomery (Eugene, OR) scored. After regrouping at half-time, the Tigers had the advantage on a powerplay at the beginning of the third quarter and connected the passes to a shot by Abigail Lavold (Tacoma, WA). Kayla Lin got fired up towards the end of the third quarter, scoring two back-to-back shots, bringing the Tigers closer to the Bearcats. The last quarter was energetic, with the stands full of Oxy students, parents, and alumni. Abigail Anderson (Oak Park, CA) and Olivia Montgomery added to the score with a shot each in the fourth quarter. Then, Marisa Lipari (Sunnyvale, CA) found the perfect shot to end the Tigers off strong. Jillian Miller was a solid foundation to the Tigers defense with three steals. Although the Tigers fought hard offensively, they came short by two points with an end score of 11-9. 

Abigail Burton led the Bearcats with five goals.
