Los Angeles– The Occidental women's lacrosse team faced the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas at Claremont. Unfortunately, the outcome was not in favor of the Tigers ending with a 25-13 Athena victory. Regardless of the score, the Tigers put their best foot forward and challenged the Athenas until the scoreboard hit zero.
Although the day did not end in a Tiger victory, many athletes were still able to shine. Bella Litt was the player of the match. Litt led the team with four goals, two assists, and three ground balls. Goalie, Andie Angelacci, had six saves in an attempt to keep the Tigers in the game. Altogether the team had 31 shots, 19 ground balls, and forced 23 turnovers from the Athenas.
CMS was led by Alex Futterman with six goals and five assists. The Athenas certainly challenged the Tigers which exposed areas of improvement in order to finish off the season strong.
