Claremont, CA — On Wednesday, the Occidental lacrosse team competed in the SCIAC Semi-Finals against the conference leading Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens.  

With such challenging competition, the Tigers had a slow start, but they were able to break the Sagehen streak in the second period when Bella Litt found the net.  Later on in that same period, Dylan Herbert, with an assist from Bella Kwan, was able to get another goal for Oxy.

In the third period, Oxy was able to rally and outscore the Sagehens.  Kwan was able to get the ball past the goalkeeper on a free position shot and Herbert moved past the defense to pick up an unassisted goal. 

Bella Litt, Lindsay Maartin, and Andie Angelacci were able to change the flow of the game multiple times by causing turnovers, each picking up two.  Litt and Herbert held their own in draw controls, snagging five and four, respectively. 

Pomona-Pitzer was led by Sydney Landauer, who scored five goals.

In the goal, Angelacci had 6 saves for the Tigers.
