Los Angeles, CA – The Occidental women's soccer team competed in their fourth SCIAC match of the season against the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas. It was a tough match for the Tigers, but they held their ground. Going into the second half, the match was scoreless. At the minute 68, Athenas were able to find the back of the net. Fortunately, this did not discourage the Tigers. With less than 10 minutes left, Anna Fukushima puts on in for Oxy off an assist from Clare Madden.

After an injury in the last match, Fukushima came back stronger than ever. Oxy's ability to capitalize on set plays is a dangerous skill for the other teams. Additionally, the team's persistence and hard work is equally as admirable. 

The Athenas' put an immense amount of pressure on the Tigers. Sam Ree had the goal with an assist from Caelyn Smith.

The next game for the Tigers will be in Pasadena, CA against the Caltech Beavers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28.
