Thousand Oaks, CA – On Tuesday, the Occidental women's volleyball team traveled to Cal Lutheran University.  The match featured two close sets, but Oxy fell in three.  The set scores were 25-17, 25-20, and 25-11.  

Oxy led the match in aces with five, three of which were earned by Leena Albelo and two by Skye Garcia.  Set one saw Oxy fall a fair bit behind, but they battled back.  Both teams went on scoring streaks.  Set two was a closer match up with the teams staying within reach of each other until the end.  In the final set, the Tigers captured the lead early, but the Regals earned eight consecutive points to gain control and claim the match.

Ariana Carranza was the dominating force on offense with eight kills and Elizabeth Sonza was the defensive leader with 16 digs.  Carrana and Eliana Channell each earned three blocks to keep the Regals in check.
