Los Angeles, CA — Women's basketball got another win at home against Southern California Leadership University on Sunday afternoon.Â
The Tigers wasted no time to get their scoring started as they quickly went on a 26-0 run to start the game. The 1st quarter would end with a made layup by MIcah Elegores and the Tigers lead was 30-5.Â
The Tigers kept their momentum going all game and never gave SCLU a chance to get back in the game. The 1st half would come to an end with Oxy up by 48 points by a score of 58-10.Â
The game would come to an end with Oxy reaching over 100 points and winning by a score of 108-23. Multiple Tigers scored in double digit points in the game with Toni Thompson leading the team with 23.Â
Ainsley Shelsta had 20 points of her own while Nicole Vanegas had 17 points, Chelsea Groves had 13 and Dominique Cabading had 11. Vanegas also grabbed 10 rebounds in the game and had 5 assists to total a double-double.Â
Shelsta was also only a rebound away from a double-double, grabbing 9 rebounds in the game. Micah Elegores led Oxy with 6 assists in the game and Dominique Cabading also had 5 assists.Â
The Tigers will look to build off a strong game when they play Bethesda on Tuesday, November 21st at 7pm in Rush Gym.
