Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Men's Water Polo team played the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens on Wednesday. Aiden Cawley (Chicago, IL) was the first to score for the Tigers with help from Zane Derrod (Chula Vista, CA). Then, Z. Derrod scored a goal of his own on a converted five-meter attempt. At the end of the first quarter, Max Stone (San Diego, CA) scored with the assist coming from Oliver Wilkins (Seattle, WA). In the second quarter, Wilkins beat the goalie on another penalty shot, followed by a goal from Cawley. Then, Lars Schubert put the ball in the back of the net with a pass from Tate Miller (San Anselmo, CA). With two seconds left in the quarter, Wilkins found his second goal of the game. After the Tigers regrouped at halftime, Wilkins scored twice more with the help of T. Miller and Z. Derrod. Then, Christian Guillaume (Ventura, CA) beat the goalie with the pass from Cawley. In the fourth quarter, the Tigers battled back and forth with the Sagehens and in the last minute, Stone scored their last goal. On defense, the Tigers drew eight exclusions and had two steals. Final Score: 14-11 Pomona-Pitzer.
