Los Angeles, CA — Oxy's men's basketball team finished out their regular season last night in Redlands.
Both teams were playing tough defense as the game was very low scoring through the first 10 minutes of play. Redlands had just made two free throws to stretch the lead out to 15-10 when Aiden Williams responded with a made jumper with 10:24 left in the 1st half.
Redlands was able to come out of a timeout and stretch their lead out to 10 points but Oxy continued to battle. By the end of the 1st half the Bulldogs had momentum and took control of the game, leading 58-41 going into the locker room.
Oxy would attempt to comeback at different times in the 2nd half putting together some nice plays but Redlands kept control of the game until the final buzzer. The final score of the game was 99-77 in favor of Redlands.
Sydney Shipp finished his impressive season for the Tigers with 15 points and 6 assists for the Tigers in this game. Aiden Williams was on fire from three point range making 6 of his 11 three point attempts.
Kyle Dosa led the Tigers in rebounding again in this game, as he put in the work to get the positioning needed to haul in rebounds. Anthony Hollerich finished with 10 points and 4 rebounds. Nicky Clotfelter had 9 points off of the bench.
Despite the tough end to the season, the Oxy men's basketball teams had plenty of high points throughout their season including impressive wins at home that had both Oxy students and fans cheering excitedly.
