La Verne, CA — The Occidental Women's Water Polo team faced La Verne on Wednesday. Jillian Miller (Irvine, CA) was the first to score for the Tigers. Following shortly after, Miller beat the goalie again. In the third quarter, Kayla Lin (Palo Alto, CA) converted a five-meter penalty against La Verne. Then, Abby Anderson (Thousand Oaks, CA) put another goal in the back of the net. Miller then scored a hat trick (third goal) to finish off the game. Defensively, Norah Ruvalcaba (Moreno Valley, CA) drew six exclusions and Miller had three steals. Final Score: 16-5 La Verne.
