Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Women's Water Polo team faced Chapman in their last game of the 2023 season. Senior Olivia Montgomery (Eugene, OR) scored first for the Tigers with help from Marisa Lipari (Sunnyvale, CA) on a powerplay. Then, Jillian Miller (Irvine, CA) scored two back-to-back goals on powerplays with help from Koko Butcher (Honolulu, HI) both times. Following shortly after, Butcher scored from the post on a powerplay with the assist going to Montgomery. In the third quarter, Lipari added another point to the scoresheet with help from Senior Kayla Lin (Palo Alto, CA). Then, in the fourth, Miller scored her third goal with the assist awarded to Lin. Next, Abby Anderson (Thousand Oaks, CA) put the ball in the back of the net off of a rebound. With one second left in the game, the seniors teamed up and Lin scored with the assist from Montgomery. Defensively the Tigers drew eight exclusions, with Anderson drawing three, and had three steals. Final Score: 16-8 Chapman. 

Kasey Markell led Chapman with four goals.
