Ventura, CA – The Occidental women's golf team traveled out to Ventura, CA to compete in their first event of the fall season, the California State Intercollegiate hosted by Cal Lutheran University at Olivas Links Golf Course. The team had a successful week to finish in seventh among the competitive field only four shots from taking fifth against top 25 ranked schools. 

The first day, the women set a new school scoring record for a single day. The Tigers came in and shot 302 as a team on Monday, beating the record by six shots from the one set in the spring season. Junior Co-Captain Madeline Greene led the way for the Tigers with a 71, 1-under par with five birdies. Sophomore Rachel Aujero followed close behind Maddie with a 74, 2-over par. Additionally, senior Co-Captain Maya Ghosh followed with a 77 (+5) and sophomore Amanda Gow rounded out the group with an 80 (+8) to help the team set a new low score.
