ARCADIA, Calif. – Women's golf wrapped up at the SCIAC Championships, placing fifth out of seven teams at Santa Anita Golf Course from Thursday, April 23 through Saturday, April 25.

Rachel Aujero led the Tigers in her final collegiate tournament and earned the SCIAC Women's Golf Sportsmanship Award – the award highlights the golfer in the conference who exhibits respectful traits on the course with his or her peers.

TRENDS

While the Tigers were status quo through par threes and fours, Oxy out-shot fourth-place Cal Lutheran on par fives by nine strokes, six-over par.

TOURNAMENT AT A GLANCE

The first day was rough for the Tigers who trailed fifth-place Chapman at the time by a stroke, but the squad bounced back in day two to take the lead for the remainder of the tournament.

Aujero, who placed 15th out of all golfers, had her best round on day two, a one-over 72, capped off by a pair of birdies on 17 and 18 put her back ahead of all Tiger golfers.

It was more of the same in day three as the Tigers extended their lead over Chapman.
