Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Men's Water Polo team played UC San Diego in their second game of the 2023 MPSF Invitational. Zane Derrod (San Diego, CA) was the first to score. The Tigers fought it out in the first quarter and found their groove in the second. Lars Schubert beat the goalie, followed by a goal from Aiden Cawley (Chicago, IL) with the assist awarded to Travis Hughes (Corte Madera, CA). Then in the third quarter, Christian Guillaume (Ventura, CA) fired a shot into the goal with help from Cawley. In the fourth, Max Stone (San Diego, CA) shot and scored with the assist going to Oliver Wilkins (Seattle, WA). Then Hughes scored with help from Stone. On defense, the Tigers drew fourteen exclusions and had seven steals. Final Score: 22-6 UC San Diego. 

Landon Akerstrom led UC San Diego with four goals.
