LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Women's volleyball dropped its Tuesday night, SCIAC contest in three sets to No. 15 La Verne on October 15. The set scores were 25-15, 25-11, and 25-14.

With the loss the Tigers fell to 3-12 overall and 0-8 in SCIAC play. La Verne added its seventh conference victory and sits at 15-3 on the season.

The Tigers started out playing well, winning the first three points of the match, and trailed by just three midway through the first set.

The Leopards' Mya Ray took control of the match from that point on, collecting 16 kills across the three sets, hitting .400.

Oxy's attack combined to hit -.010 with 19 kills to 20 errors. La Verne hit .270 on the night.

Eliana Channell led the Tigers in kills for the fourth time this season with five. She also notched two blocks, one solo and an assisted block.

The Tigers are back in action next Tuesday when they host Pomona-Pitzer in Rush Gym at 7 p.m.
