Los Angeles, CA— Baseball was at Anderson Field to play host to Centenary in the 2nd game of a 3 game series and game 2 of a doubleheader.
Jeffery Cambra got Oxy on the board first with an RBI groundout in the 1st inning that scored Lou Martineau. Centenary responded immediately with 3 in the 2nd inning but Oxy was ready to respond as well.
Jackson Short got Oxy within one run by launching a home run over the right field wall. Ryan Cacatian followed Short by hitting a homer of his own onto the batting cage beyond the left center field wall and the game was tied at 3.
Centenary scored two runs in the 4th and 5th innings to take a 7-3 lead but Cacatian would strike again for another home run, this one a 2-run homer over the right center field wall that brought in Short and brought Oxy within two runs at 7-5.
The Gents would end up scoring 14 runs in the game and Oxy was unable to put together another rally. Centenary would take game 1 of the doubleheader by a score of 14-5. Ryan Cacatian had a great game at the plate for Oxy, hitting two home runs, to knock in 3 RBIs and score 2 runs.
