Leesburg, FL— In game two of the Tigers' trip to Florida they squared off with the McDaniel College Green Terror.
Oxy got on the board in the 1st inning after Sam Palacio drew a one out walk and advanced to 2nd base on a single from Mia Mark. The bases were loaded after Phylicia Pedrosa was hit by a pitch and then Palacio would come in to score on a wild pitch.
McDaniel College answered with a 3 run bottom of the 1st inning, but Zada Day-Adams retired all three batters by strikeout in the inning. Oxy recorded two hits in the 2nd inning as Alsyha Wagner singled to right field and Sam Palacio singled to left.
Day-Adams settled into the game and allowed only one hit over the next three innings. Oxy totaled two more hits in the 5th inning as Mia Mark had her second single of the game to right field and Jordan Lebsock also found the outfield grass for a single.
McDaniel College would score one more run in the 5th on one hit and one error, and two more runs in the 7th inning. McDaniel would win by a score of 6-1.
Day-Adams had a solid pitching performance, striking out 7 batters over 6 innings. Sam Palacio was 1-2 with a run scored and Mia Mark had two singles in the game for Oxy.
The Tigers' next games would be in another doubleheader on Monday afternoon.
