Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Women's Water Polo team played the Villanova University Wildcats for their last game of the Convergence Tournament. Jillian Miller (Irvine, CA) scored the first goal for the Tigers with a pass coming from Ruby Vogel (San Mateo, CA). Then, Koko Butcher (Honolulu, HI) found the back of the net with the assist awarded to Claire Bricknell (Seattle, WA). In the second and third quarter the Tigers struggled to convert on their shots until Marisa Lipari (Sunnyvale, CA) took control on a penalty shot, which was drawn by Norah Ruvalcaba (Moreno Valley, CA). In the fourth quarter, Rebekah Harkins (Miami, FL) drew another penalty shot, which Butcher took and scored on. Defensively, the Tigers drew thirteen exclusions, with Butcher and Ruvalcaba drawing three each. The Tigers also had eight steals, with goalie Alex Moye (San Diego, CA) stealing three. Final Score: 15-4 Villanova.
