Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Women's Water Polo team played the Whitter Poets on Saturday for their second SCIAC matchup. Jillian Miller (Irvine, CA) was the first to score for the Tigers on a penalty shot drawn by Rebekah Harkins (Miami, FL). In the second quarter, Ruby Vogel (San Mateo, CA) shot cross cage on a counter attack and scored, with the pass coming from goalie Alex Moye (San Diego, CA). Then, shortly after, Bella Wilde (Eugene, OR) converted on another counter attack play with help from Vogel. The Tigers weren't able to score during the third quarter, but in the fourth they came out with a bang. Koko Butcher (Honolulu, HI) scored on a powerplay with help from Marisa Lipari (Sunnyvale, CA). Then, Emma Wilderman (Seal Beach, CA) added another goal for the TIgers with the assist also from Lipari. Following shortly, Miller converted on another penalty shot that was drawn by Vogel. Then, with one minute left in the game, Cate Sloat (Austin, TX) deposited a shot into the cage with the assist awarded to Wilde. On defense, the Tigers had eight steals, with Harkins taking three. The Tigers also drew seven exclusions. Final Score: 10-7 Whittier. 

Alexandra Haluska and Jaycee Morris led Whittier with three goals each.
