Los Angeles, CA— Tigers baseball faced CMS in the 3rd game of their series on Saturday afternoon.Â
CMS jumped out to a lead but the Tigers would battle back into the game in the 5th inning, started off by Lou Martineau hitting an RBI single to right field that brought Miles Capobianco in to score.Â
Jeffery Cambra followed with an RBI single through the left side that brought home Jackson Short. Alex Henderson would bring home Martineau from 2nd base with an RBI single to right field, and Thomas Munch capped off the inning with an RBI single to left field to score Cambra and get Oxy within 3 runs of the Stags.
CMS got a run back in the 6th, but Oxy also scored a run in the bottom half of the 6th when Capobianco scored on a wild pitch. In the bottom of the 7th inning, Sancho Llamas had an RBI single through the left side, scoring Alex Henderson.Â
Jackson Short singled to 2nd base to score Thomas Munch and made the score 8-7 after 7 innings. The Stags would be able to hold on to the 8-7 and win the game by that score to wrap up the weekend series.
