Los Angeles, CA— Oxy baseball was in action at Anderson Field for a doubleheader against the CMS Stags on Saturday.Â
The Stags started the game strong and took a 7-0 lead in the first two innings of the game, but Oxy got a run back when Jeffery Cambra scored on a RBI ground out from Thomas Munch.
The Tigers' bats would heat up in the 4th inning, started off by a bases loaded walk from Munch that brought in a run and then Jackson Short doubled to center field to bring in Cambra and Sancho Llamas.Â
Garret Palme would bring home Thomas Munch with an RBI walk which was followed by a sca fly from Ben Rutkin that brought home Jackson Short. Jeffery Cambra would bring Oxy all the way back and tie the game at 8 with a 2 RBI single to right field to cap off a big 4th inning for the Tigers.Â
Thomas Munch would hit a solo home run in the 5th inning to score Oxy's 9th run of the game, but CMS would go on to take the game against the Tigers. The teams would face off one last time later in the afternoon for game 3 of their SCIAC series.
