LOS ANGELES, Calif. –
Danny Miller's four goals helped men's water polo to a 14-11 victory in the home opener over LA Valley College on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Miller converted 80% of his shot attempts, including two huge goals in the second half to pull away from a 9-9 stalemate with three minutes left to play in the third.

It was a balanced scoring attack from the Tigers who saw eight different players score. Excluding Miller, three Tigers scored two goals,
Travis Hughes,
Lars Schubert and
Oliver Wilkins.

Schubert and
Tate Miller helped get the ball to the scorers as each tallied three assists.

James Derrod and
Jack Schroeder both had solid performances in goal, combining for 15 saves. Schroeder notched nine saves and allowed just five goals in the second half.

Men's water polo is right back in action on Friday, Sept. 13 to take on Mt. San Antonio College at De Mandel Aquatics Center. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m.
