Swim & Dive takes down La Verne at quad meet

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Connor Grant and Amanda George each secured second-place finishes in their respective freestyle events as Occidental College competed in the Occidental Quad Meet against the University of La Verne, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, and the California Institute of Technology.

Occidental College Player Highlights

Amanda George secured a second-place finish in the Women's 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:24.69. She also contributed to the Women's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, helping the team achieve third place.

Cabot Teskey finished second in the Men's 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 22.15. He also played a key role in the Men's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, finishing in 3:25.82.

Connor Grant achieved fourth place in the Men's 200 Yard Freestyle. He also excelled in the Men's 500 Yard Freestyle, finishing second.

Isaac Bassett placed fourth in the Men's 3 mtr Diving. He also competed in the Men's 1 mtr Diving, securing another fourth-place finish.

Opal Derr delivered a strong performance in the Women's 200 Yard Backstroke, finishing fourth.

Occidental College Results Summary

Relays
- 400 Yard Medley Relay — Tigers B finished fifth in 4:06.67; Tigers A placed seventh.
- 400 Yard Freestyle Relay — Tigers A secured third place; Tigers B took eighth.

Individual Swimming
- 1000 Yard Freestyle — Ivan Palmer placed fourth; Lily Allen also finished fourth.
- 200 Yard Freestyle — Grant came in fourth; George placed fourth.
- 50 Yard Freestyle — Teskey finished second; Hayden Hoover placed fifth.
- 500 Yard Freestyle — Grant took second; George also secured second.
- 400 Yard IM — Hunter Franke finished third.

Diving
- 3 mtr Diving — Bassett placed fourth; Violet Schultz finished sixth.
- 1 mtr Diving — Bassett took fourth; Schultz placed fourth.

The Tigers are back in action next weekend on the road at Caltech in a tri-meet.
