Â
Game 1 vs Austin – W, 14-11
Â
The Tigers took home a victory over the Austin Kangaroos, 14-11. The difference in the contest was a 4-0 Tiger outburst in the first quarter. Austin played Oxy close the remainder of the game, with an even second and fourth, but the Roos tallied one more goal than the Tigers in the third.
Â
Up the whole game,
Alexandra Moye faced 38 shots and notched 17 saves, eight more than her SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week mark two weeks ago.
Â
Offensively,
Emma Wilderman led the team with three goals. Three other Tigers added two goals apiece –
Hannah Lee,
Koko Butcher and
Isabella Wilde.
Â
Game 2 vs Toronto – L, 12-6
Â
The Toronto Varsity Blues proved too much for the Tigers, as they fell 12-6.
Â
An opening goal scored by
Rachel Khavinson looked promising for the Tigers early, but the relentless offensive attack from Toronto strung off eight of the next nine goals to take a commanding lead.
Tori Carlson added a pair of goals late in the game.
Â
Wilde picked up her third goal of the day, while
Norah Ruvalcaba and
Emma Merrill notched their first scores. Moye picked up a pair of steals in goal on top of her seven saves.
Â
