LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Softball dropped the final two games of its series against Redlands, 13-5 in 6 innings in Saturday's game one and 8-1 in the final contest of the set.
Game 1 – L, 13-5
Redlands was up 9-0 late in the ballgame when the Tigers had an offensive rally to get back in the game. Anna Kim started the scoring with an RBI single that brought home Bella Harding.
Kim would steal second on a play that allowed Sydney Crespo to score, and an error by the Bulldogs on the next play allowed Kim to score.
The 5-run rally was capped off by Ava Quezada reaching on a fielder's choice that brought Philycia Pedrosa in to score.
Alysha Wagner and Anna Kim both went 2 for 4 at the plate in the game.
Game 2 – L, 8-1
Oxy's lone run in the game came on an RBI single from Brooke Doebler that brought Alysha Wagner home to score.
Wagner had a highlight play in the field in the game, leaping high and fully stretching out to make the catch at shortstop to rob what would've been a hit to left field.
Zada Day-Adams pitched a complete game, pitching all seven innings in the game for Oxy.
The Tigers are back in action for a single game on Friday against CMS in a makeup of a game that was rained out earlier in the season. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
