LOS ANGELES, Calif. –
Maeve Moylan,
Olivia Okamoto and
Evie Kim earned All-SCIAC nods on Wednesday, April 30.
Â
Moylan three-peats as a First Team All-SCIAC selection. The junior ranks in the top 10 in the SCIAC in goals, assists, caused turnovers, ground balls and draw controls. She leads the conference in caused turnovers and ground balls – 39 and 31 respectively.
Â
She's one of three Tigers, including another on this list, who have eclipsed the 100 goal mark this season. Moylan also set the all-time draw control record in the program, sitting at 296 in her career.
Â
Okamoto, the Tigers' leading scorer, earned Second Team All-SCIAC recognition. Okamoto receives an all-conference selection for the third time in her career – she was named to the first team as a first-year and second team a season ago.
Â
Another junior, Okamoto is second in the conference in goals scored with 57. She currently sits at sixth all-time in goals scored at Oxy with 136.
Â
Kim, another repeat selection, was named Second Team All-SCIAC. Kim, a first teamer a season ago, started in all 17 of the Tigers games, causing 15 turnovers and picking up 36 ground balls.
Â
Along with Moylan, Kim is another draw controls specialist – the sophomore is six away from 100 on the season. Her presence on the defensive end helped Tigers hold opponents to 12.4 goals per game.
Â
The trio and the rest of women's lacrosse moved onto the SCIAC tournament. They travel to Claremont to take on No. 1 seeded Pomona-Pitzer in the SCIAC semifinals.
