LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Men's soccer was picked third by coaches in the SCIAC Preseason Poll released by the conference on Wednesday, August 27.

After their third-straight trip to the SCIAC tournament in 2024, the Tigers remain near the top of the conference's hit list heading into the 2025 campaign.

The Tigers return two All-SCIAC selections in first teamer Vicente Navarro and second team selection, Aiden Aley. Both seniors, their classmate Tyler Na-Nakornpanom earned an All-SCIAC nod in 2022.

The two teams ahead of the Tigers, Claremont-M-S (No. 1) and Redlands (No. 2) each earned the top two spots in the standings following the 2024 regular season. Claremont-M-S topped the Tigers in the SCIAC semis, while the Bulldogs dropped their semifinal match to Chapman. CMS eventually won the SCIAC Championship, then reached the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.

A year removed from a SCIAC title of its own, Occidental men's soccer starts the 2025 season on the road in Massachusetts. Friday, August 29 marks the season opener against Babson.
