LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Cooper Gersch was named SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday, October 5 as the Tigers held opponents to no goals across two matches.

Gersch scored the second goal of his career and first of the season in Wednesday's 6-0 rout of Caltech – it was the eventual game winner. Gersch and the Tigers held No. 21 Redlands to a 0-0 draw on Saturday. He led a backline that limited Redlands to 12 shots, one in the first half, and only five on goal.

He and men's soccer are back in action on Wednesday, October 7 at Chapman.
