LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The 2025-26 SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships are set to take place from February 18 to 21 at East Los Angeles College. This prestigious event will feature top collegiate athletes from nine institutions: Occidental, Chapman, Cal Lutheran, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS), Pomona-Pitzer, Caltech, Redlands, La Verne, and Whittier. Fans can watch the action live on FloCollege, with tickets available through the SCIAC website.

Occidental College Highlights

**Connor Grant:** Connor Grant, the reigning SCIAC champion in the men's 200-yard freestyle, will be a key athlete to watch. As a first-year competitor last season, Grant secured Occidental's first SCIAC championship in a decade, setting a high standard for himself and his team. His previous records in the 200 free (1:40.69 and 1:39.48) and the 500 free (4:36.82) will be benchmarks as he aims to defend his title.

**Amanda George:** Amanda George, the Tigers' top point scorer, was instrumental in the women's 800 free relay team that clinched a third-place finish last year. Alongside Sarah Radle, Nathalie Kerrigan, and Kamille Pellettieri, George helped set a school record with a time of 7:44.45.

**Isaac Bassett and Violet Schultz:** Both Bassett and Schultz have qualified for the NCAA Diving Regionals, and look to be forces in the conference diving field.

**Nate Pitroff:** Nate Pitroff, who has shown potential in the 100-yard breaststroke, will be looking to make a significant impact during the championships.

School Records and Achievements

Last season, the Tigers set eight school records over the four-day event, underscoring the team's competitive edge and determination. Notable achievements include Sarah Radle's NCAA B-Cut time in the 100 free (51.38), and a school-record performance in the men's 200 medley relay by Grant, Carter Park, Matthew Spruance, and Joshua Biggs with a time of 1:30.98.

Team Participation

Occidental will face strong competition from other SCIAC teams, including perennial powerhouses like Claremont-M-S and Pomona-Pitzer, both of which have a history of setting meet and SCIAC records. The Tigers will aim to leverage their blend of seasoned competitors and rising stars to make a mark at the championships.
