LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Riley Holcomb was named SCIAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday, March 23.

The senior southpaw threw a gem over six innings in his first start of the season against #23 Cal Lutheran on Friday, March 20th. Holcomb allowed only 3 of the 21 batters he faced to reach base, allowing one hit, one walk and hitting one batter. None of the 3 batters allowed on by Holcomb reached 2nd base.

The performance led the Tigers to a big series opening win on the road and included Holcomb inducing 11 flyouts and 6 groundouts while striking out one.

Holcomb and the Tigers are back in action this weekend, taking on Whitman with a three-game set kicking off with game one on Friday, March 27th, followed by a Saturday doubleheader on March 28th.
