Pat Yeomans 1938 worked her way up to the No. 1 player on the Oxy men's freshman team before being banned from competition. She became the U.S. Girls' singles and doubles champion in 1935 and became the first woman awarded the Oxy "O." Yeomans was inducted into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Hall of Fame in 2000 after a lifetime at the top of the sport as a player and advocate.
