LOS ANGELES — Amanda Herold led the Tigers with nine kills and two aces, Anna Sophia Yung added eight kills of her own and the Occidental College women's volleyball team rolled on its way to a 3-0 win against Caltech Saturday afternoon, in the second game of a homecoming doubleheader.

Set Scores: 25-13, 25-10, 25-6

Season Impact: Oxy has won six of its last eight matches, improving to 9-10 overall and 5-6 in SCIAC play. 

Caltech falls to 2-17 overall and 0-12 in the SCIAC.

Cassandra Guidice had six kills with a .714 hittinng percentage and Alex Melikian totaled four kills, hitting .571. Claire Strohm finished with five kills.

Sarah Beene had 19 assists and three kills against the Beavers. Libero Kandace Korver had 13 digs and an ace.

First year Tre'Shunda James made the most of her time on the court, accounting for two kills off four attacks.

Catherine Jamshidi led the Beavers with six kills and Harinee Maiyuran finished with 11 assists.

The Tigers dropped their first match of the day to No. 14-ranked Southwestern University (TX) 25-15, 25-17, 25-17. Strohm and Guidice each had ten kills. Beene finished with 22 assists.
