LOS ANGELES — Taylor Gorretta had a career high 15 kills and 14 digs as the Occidental women's volleyball team picked up its SCIAC win, beating Redlands 3-1 at Rush Gymnasium on Saturday.

Oxy improves to 6-6 overall and 1-2 in SCIAC.

Redlands falls to 3-6 and 1-3.

Goretta was one of three Oxy players with double-figure kills. Claire Strohm had 13 kills and Amanda Herold chipped in 10. Oxy setter Allie Sundara totaled 28 assists with 13 digs.

Cassandra Guidice was very efficient for the Tigers, putting away seven kills on .583 hitting. 

The Tigers had 14 aces on the night. Guidice had three, Amanda Herold, Sabrina Degnan, Hannah Wagner and Gorreta each had two, and Strohm and Michelle St. Louis each had one. 

The Tigers are back in action at Caltech on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
