Los Angeles, CA —  The Occidental Tigers came out strong and ready for a fight. It was quite the exciting match with some spectacular kills by middle blockers #15 Aniya Hawthorne (Oahu, HI) and #2 Lindsey Nurse (La Mesa, CA). The Tigers defense was solid as ever tonight and would not let a ball drop without a body to follow. Things seemed to fall into place for Oxy when Kat Chodaczek (Berwyn, PA) went on a serving streak and the team earned six consecutive points in the second set.  This happened again in the third set with Bethany Heitland (Colorado Springs, CO) behind the service, and the Tigers earned five consecutive points, almost reaching a ten point lead.  These athletes really showed spectacular spirit tonight and it was reflected in their three set sweep against Redlands (25-18, 25-15, 25-15).
