Los Angeles, CA —  Last night the Occidental Tigers battled the Whittier Poets at home. As it was the last home game of the season for the Tigers, they celebrated by recognizing their seniors.  All four seniors were honored with a wonderful ceremony and highlighted in the game.  Bethany Heitland #9 with her amazing digs and serves brought a tremendous energy to the court.  Sydney Takauye #14 with her unreal saves brought the crowd to its feet. Theresa Nevins #24 and Kamea Quetti-Hall #4 were an unstoppable force in the front row with some impressive kills and blocks. It was a hard fought match, but the Poets took the win (25-20, 25-15, 25-18).

• Leaders in Kills: LIndsey Nurse (10), Skye Garcia (7), and Theresa Nevins (6).

• Leaders in Aces: Bethany Heitland (1) and Sydney Takauye (1).

• Leaders in Digs: Sydney Takauye (23), Kennedy Dirkes (9), and Bethany heitland (8).

• Leaders in Blocks: Theresa Nevins (2) and Lindsey Nurse (1).

Senior Career Highlights:

• Bethany Heitland: 27 kills, 57 aces, 507 digs.

• Kamea Quetti-Hall: 18 kills, 9 digs, 21 blocks.

• Sydney Takauye: 6 kills, 63 aces, 861 digs.

• Theresa Nevins: 201 kills, 45 digs, 58 blocks.

The final game of the season took place at the University of La Verne.
