Claremont, CA — The Occidental men's water polo team started day two of the Inland Empire Classic Tournament with a game against No. 2 USC and finished with a game against Concordia.
In the first game against USC, the Tigers were unable to stop the Trojans offense and lost 23-3. Daniel Cruz, Nate Fisher, and Keegan Klein were able to break through the Trojan defense and each score a goal. Goalkeeper Henry Grady had nine saves for the game.
In the second game of the day, the Tigers and the Eagles played a close game and went back and forth with the lead. In the final minute of the game, Oxy was able to get a goal and claim victory. Seven of the Tigers scored against the Eagles, with Shea Grosz, Christian Guillaume, and Jarrod Norton leading the way with two goals each. Goalkeeper Cole Ivie had 11 saves, with a save percentage of .579.
Next Game: Oxy competes at home Wednesday night against Mt. San Antonio at 7:00 p.m.
