Los Angeles, CA – In Occidental's game this last Monday the players wore N-95s to compete against West Coast Baptist - this, however, did not hinder their performance. 

In the first half, Oxy started off strong with Andrew Waldmen making a jump shot just fifteen seconds into the game. For the next five minutes Oxy maintained the lead until the Baptists' Ethan Delaney made a three-point jump shot, putting them on the board. With 13 minutes on the clock, Jonah Rawlings on the opposing side finally closed the gap so that Oxy was only one point ahead. The two teams stayed in proximal scoring until finally Noah Delorme made a jump shot and a free throw that took the score to 20-17. For the rest of the half, although Oxy stayed in the lead, the teams were constantly near each other's scores making it a closer game than Oxy had hoped for. In the end of the first half, Waldman and Dosa were making buckets that resulted in a ten point lead. 

The second half continued strong for Occidental's Tigers with Noah Delorme scoring a jump shot and Hamermesh scoring quickly behind. Halfway through the second half most of the players went to the bench and switched out the team, putting in some new faces who were ready to finish the game strong. In the end, Michael Phaneuf and Jacob Hamermesh made some close three-point jump shots ending the game on a 96-60 lead. Overall, six Tigers scored in the double digits.

Next game: Occidental is scheduled to play Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on January 8th at 2pm in Los Angeles, CA
