Los Angeles, CA — On Friday, the Tigers took on the La Verne Leopards in an exciting match. The Tigers took one set from La Verne, winning 25-21, but did not manage to take the match. La Verne won 3 sets to 1, but the Tigers put up an intense fight!
On offense, setter Kat Chodaczek had the highest hitting percentage with a .667, ending the night with 5 amazing dump kills! Lindsey Nurse had an impressive outing, dominating in the middle with 5 kills, hitting a .308! Estelle Harsh also helped the Tigers in the front row with 12 kills.
Defensively, Iris Archibald, Ariana Carranza, and Kat Chodaczek all had 8 digs, making fantastic scramble plays! These three kept the Tigers alive, commanding the back row with great communication and hustle. Although the result was not what the Tigers had hoped for, this team continues to show up and play with an all out effort!
Prior to the start of the game, the team surprized Kat Chodaczek with a ball signing as in the previous week she had earned her 1000th career assist! Congratulations!
