Redlands, CA — On Saturday, the women's volleyball team competed against the Redland Bulldogs! The Tigers rallied in the match, pushing to 21 points in both the second and third sets, but ultimately lost to the Bulldogs.
Aniya Hawthorne led the Tigers on offense with 4 kills and hitting the team high of .571! Kat Chodaczek and Liisa Halloran had the second highest hitting percentages at .250, with 1 and 2 kills, respectively. Together, the team had 28 kills, getting good work done in the front row.
On defense, Iris Archibald and Estelle Harsh had 11 digs, dominating the back row and keeping the Tiger defense in it! Kat Chodaczek and Gabrielle Barber also contributed with 6 and 7 digs and making quick dives to pick up Bulldog hits. Despite the loss, the Tigers keep pushing and always use the tough moments as lessons for future success. There is still half of the conference season left, and it looks bright!
Next Game: The Tigers return back to Rush Gym on Tuesday, October 11 for a 7 p.m. match against Caltech.
