Los Angeles, CA — On Friday night, the women's volleyball team had an amazing four set match against the Whittier Poets! The Tigers ended the night with an extraordinary win, even beating the Poets in set two, 25-13. The Tigers once again showed their grit and hustle, earning a conference win.
Eliana Channell had the best hitting percentage for the Tigers with a .412 and earning 8 kills for the team! Ariana Carranza had 17 kills on the night, the most for the Tigers, and Estelle Harsh had an impressive 13 as well. The Tiger front row gave a stellar performance, led by setter Kat Chodaczek who had 47 assists. Together, the team had 54 kills and made smart choices at the net to limit Tiger errors.
On defense, libero Iris Archibald led the way with 23 digs, making impressive hustle plays to pick up Poet attacks. Ariana Carranza was integral in the back row with 18 digs. Estelle Harsh and Kat Chodaczek had 11 and 10 digs, respectively, both key defensive players in this win. The Tigers ended the night with a great, competitive win and proved that hard work, perseverance, and excellent team communication are key for the Tigers.
