Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Men's Water Polo team played Ottawa Arizona in their last game of the weekend. Keegan Klein (Bellevue, WA) started off quickly and strong with a goal in the first possession of the game. Then, Christian Guillaume (Ventura, CA) and Shea Grosz (Lafayette, CA) shot and scored. All of the first three goals were assisted by Kellen Radtkey (Santa Barbara, CA). To end the first quarter strong, Cian Concannon (Mill Valley, CA) put the ball in the cage on a powerplay with help from Klein. Halfway through the second quarter, Nate Fisher (LaGrange, IL) scored with the assist from Grosz on a powerplay. Then, Jarrod Norton (Newbury Park, CA) converted a five-meter goal. Next came back-to-back goals from Hayden Comerford (Honolulu, HI) with one of them assisted by Klein. In the third quarter, Klein hit the back of the net with help from Fisher. Then, Guillaume struck again with the assist awarded to Aiden Cawley (Chicago, IL). Cawley scored next with help from Radtkey. Comerford scored twice in the fourth quarter with assists from Klein and Fisher. Then, Grosz shot and scored with help from Oliver Wilkins (Seattle, WA) on a powerplay. Fisher kept the scoring streak up with a goal. The assist was awarded to Comerford. As the fourth quarter came to an end, the Tigers were tied with Ottawa, which led to two overtime periods of three minutes each. Concannon put the ball in the cage with thirty-six seconds left in the overtime quarter, bringing the Tigers ahead. Wilkins was credited for the assist. The Tigers defense was on point, holding Ottawa off from scoring for the both overtime periods. The Tigers had nine total steals, four of them coming from Comerford. The Tigers also drew seventeen exclusions. Final Score: 16-15 Oxy.
