Whittier, CA — On Saturday, the women's volleyball team played the Poets in an intense 4 set match! The Tiger's took one set from the Poets winning 25-21, but ultimately Whittier ended the night with the win. Despite the loss, the Tiger's continue to push through and give all out effort every match!
Offensively, Lindsey Nurse had the highest hitting percentage, hitting .217, and Eliana Channell had the second highest with a .154. Ariana Carranza had the most kills, tallying 11 on the night, and Lindsey Nurse was also a force with 10 at the net!
On defense, Ariana Carranza led the Tiger's with 11 digs, taking control of the back line. Both Estelle Harsh and Iris Archibald had 9 digs each and helped keep the Tiger's in the game. Although the outcome was not what the Tiger's wanted, they always find a way to learn from the tough moments and come back stronger! The future looks bright for this team and their potential continues to grow.
Next Game: Oxy returns home on Friday, October 7, and will host La Verne at 7 p.m. in Rush Gym.
