Los Angeles, CA — The Oxy men's basketball team traveled to Claremont to take on the CMS Stags in a SCIAC matchup.
The game started off with back and forth buckets for both teams but Claremont quickly jumped out to a 14-4 lead. Oxy continued to battle but CMS had a 36-23 lead going into halftime. Aiden Williams, Bernard Cassidy and Ryan Hakl each had 5 points in the first half for the Tigers to keep Oxy in the game.
CMS would take control of the game in the 2nd half despite Oxy making some runs at a comeback. Aiden Williams led the Tigers in scoring with 10 points while Henry Wilson led on the glass with 6 rebounds. Point guard Sydney Shipp led with 4 assists and also contributed 5 points.
The Tigers will look to bounce back when they take on Southern California Leadership University on December 14th.
